Skiing at Palisades Tahoe

This iconic California ski resort has 6000 acres of skiable terrain, with 29 lifts, you’ll find everything from beginner to advance runs. On the North Shore of Lake Tahoe, Palisades Tahoe is 42 miles from Reno, 96 miles from Sacramento, and 196 miles from San Francisco, via Interstate 80. Find lots of Terrain Parks here for jumps and tricks. In the resort village you’ll be able to enjoy restaurants, bars and shopping; along with activities like sledding and yoga.

Lake Tahoe

One of the largest freshwater alpine lakes, located in the Sierra Nevada mountain range. Lake Tahoe is known for it’s pristine beauty and gorgeous vistas of emerald color water set against the majestic snow-capped mountains. Swim, boat, paddle board or soak up the beauty from one of the sandy beaches.

Truckee River

The Truckee River is heavily used for recreation, including whitewater rafting and fly fishing. A common rafting destination is the River Ranch Lodge, grab a bite after you dock. The rapids are almost all class 1 and class 2. In Tahoe, there is walk/bike path along the river and so many spots to take a plunge or skip rocks. In downtown Reno, the river is a class 2/3 whitewater park, and is used mainly for kayaking.

Parks/Playground/Pickleball

The Palisades is located in the town of Olympic Valley, CA. Home to the 1960 Winter Olympics. The Olympic torch burns year round and makes for great photo op!
